Stoner Target Comeback at Phillip Island
Australian rider Casey Stoner is still recuperating from accidents at Indianapolis MotoGP free practice session. Racing on home turf so targeted Stoner comeback event.
The defending champion is scheduled to go up on the operating table this week to repair the ankle injury he suffered. Preliminary estimates Stoner will take seven weeks to recover.
MotoGP Australia (28/10) is the second to last race before the final series in Valencia. However, Stoner hopes to return more quickly in Malaysia, a week earlier.
With this injury can not be the maximum practical Stoner in his last season in MotoGP. However, it was confirmed that 27-year rider will not delay his plans to stay retired.
